    AI & automation

Automation that removes repetitive work without handing important decisions to a black box.

We find costly hand-offs, information bottlenecks and repeatable decisions; test the simplest useful fix; and build a measured workflow around your systems, data and people. AI is included only where it adds real value.

This service is usually right when…

    • Staff repeatedly copy, sort, route or summarise information
    • Useful knowledge is difficult to find across policies and systems
    • Customers need faster answers from a controlled source set
    • The business has plenty of AI ideas but no clear first investment

What you should have at the end.

    • A ranked list of opportunities based on value, effort and risk
    • A focused first release measured against the current process
    • Clear human review, escalation and failure controls
    • Documentation and evidence for the next investment decision

    What the engagement covers.

We confirm the final scope after understanding your priorities, current systems and review requirements. These are the building blocks we commonly include and the boundaries we make explicit.

    Typically included

    • Workflow mapping and opportunity scoring
    • Source, data and risk assessment
    • Prototype and evaluation with the intended team
    • Production integration for the agreed use case
    • Human review, audit and fallback controls
    • Training, documentation and measurement plan

    Not assumed

    • Autonomous decisions where human accountability is required
    • A chatbot added without a defined user job
    • Model claims that cannot be evaluated against a baseline

    Questions clients ask before starting.

What if the problem does not need AI?+

We recommend the simpler workflow. Forms, rules, search and ordinary automation are often faster, cheaper and easier to govern. The goal is to improve the work, not to maximise model use.

    Do you build customer-facing assistants?+

Yes, when the source material, user need, review model and failure path are clear. Customer-facing work receives a higher evaluation and monitoring bar than internal tools.

Can this work with our existing systems?+

Usually. Discovery maps the data, permissions and integration constraints before a build is quoted. We avoid moving sensitive information unless the use case and controls justify it.

    Useful reading for this decision.
